Swindon Town Academy – Northern Ireland Cup

The final  game against Alset (Columbia) was played at Portrush, Northern Ireland today, the result was a 2-2 draw. The boys started the campaign on Monday against Chivas Guadalajara, Mexico with a 0-5 defeat. They continued on Tuesday against Strikers (USA) this time scoring one goal but were defeated 1-3. On Wednesday they were beaten 3-4 by County Fermanagh after being 3-1 up. This now saw the boys in a six team league for the Salver. On Thursday they played Colonial (Chile) and drew 1-1. Although the results didn’t go in their favour, this competition is an invaluable experience for them for the future.
