Chairman’s Message to supporters

Chairman’s message

Family-friendly and fun: that’s the mantra that Swindon Town Football Club will be adopting for the 2016/17 Season Ticket campaign and beyond. After two seasons of price freezes, the club have taken the decision to slash prices on junior and Under-21 tickets in a bid to welcome in the next generation of football fan and nurture their interest for the beautiful game.
Aligned with the club’s philosophy on passing, attacking football, we aim to give Town supporters –both young and old – something to smile about by making it affordable and attractive for families to come and watch a match at the County Ground. In essence, we want the next generation of supporters to help cheer on the next generation of football talent that take to the field in the famous red and white.
This season has been one of transition for the football club after the success of the year before and we anticipate further progress in 2016/17. We have a young squad and young coaching staff that work hard on the training pitches to bring you an entertaining brand of football. This club has a rich history of showcasing entertaining football and we came so close last May to seeing that style take us into a higher division. We’ve overseen a rebuilding process this term and fully expect to be challenging at the right end of the table this time next year.
So, come and join us and be a part of that journey for the next campaign and beyond as we take this club forward on and off the pitch. See you next season.

THE 2014/15 campaign has been a season of huge progress for Swindon Town Football Club…

On the pitch, our young, vibrant team are astounding us week in, week out with a brand of football that is a delight to watch. As a result, we are enjoying a rollercoaster ride in the upper echelons of League 1; more than matching the big-hitters in our division. Off the pitch, the club is financially stable and has now become an attractive proposition for potential new investors and sponsors. We are also strengthening links with our supporters through our two main supporter groups, the STFC Supporters Club and the Supporters’ Trust who work tirelessly to aid this football club in many different ways. Most importantly, we are now seeing more and more supporters slowly begin to trickle through the turnstiles eager to catch a glimpse of the exciting team we have assembled at The County Ground.
Now is the time for you all to play your part and sign up to 2015/16 by purchasing a Season Ticket. We recognise that existing Season Ticket holders need an incentive to renew and that is why for phase one, prices have been frozen. Like last season, you can spread the cost of a new ticket or a renewal over a ten month instalment plan which is interest-free until the end of March. In an attempt to entice the younger generation, Under-11s now go free and the Young Adult category has now been moved to incorporate those supporters who are between 17 and 19 years old.
We look forward to seeing you next season.
