STFC SUPPORTERS CLUB NEWSLETTER November 2015

Chairman’s Notes

A strange start to the season with new management and a large change of personnel on the playing staff. We have a very young team on the pitch – no doubt they have talent but are just short of experience, however, we look forward to some good results and a climb up the table. We have again sponsored two matches – Rochdale and Colchester – Nicky Ajose is our sponsored player and the Under18’s team are also receiving our backing. The halftime draw is our main fundraiser and thanks, once again, to the sellers and buyers; we sell over 1000 plus tickets each home game, allowing us to fund various items on request from the Club as we feel necessary. Some of you may be aware that our Ann, our Vice-Chair, has been in hospital recently and is now convalescing at home.  I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing her well and hope it will not be too long now before we see her at the County Ground once again. The date for the Senior Christmas Dinner, which we will be supporting once again, has been announced as Thursday 10 December – please email enquiries@swindontownsupportersclub.com or contact any Committee member to book your place. We are always happy to speak with members about any issues, ideas, etc – if there is anything you wish to discuss with us or bring to our attention, please send us an email or speak to a Committee member. We would welcome any help on a match day with our fundraising – just visit our table in the Legends Lounge. Our AGM was held on 24 October and we are delighted to welcome Claire Elcocks to our Committee.  Claire will be taking over as Membership Secretary and Mike Dew has now become our Treasurer. Finally, albeit a little early, I would like to take this opportunity wish you and yours a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year. Roger Bunce Chairman
