Chairman’s Notes – I have decided to stand down as Chairman of the Swindon Town FC Supporters Club. I am delighted to have helped our parent club to thousands of pounds to benefit youth football, improved facilities for fans and charities. These have been possible due to the hard work of all our Committee members over the years. When I started the 50/50 draw all those years ago in 2000, I never thought we would still be going in 2016 and raise the sum of £331,072.00 during that time. So, please accept my thanks to all our sellers and buyers over the years.             Roger Bunce

Roger standing down as Chairman of the Supporters Club, is quite a hard act to follow but health must come first. Roger has been a tremendous figure head for so long, everyone knows him and he knows everyone. He’s not leaving us altogether. He will continue to look after Robins Revival 50/50 Half Time draw. He will also be there should we need to seek advice or call on his experiences. We thank Roger for leading us so successfully over the years. I’m sure you will join me and the Committee in wishing Roger all the very best for the future.      Ann Alder, Vice Chair

COMMITTEE – Steve Dean has stood down from the Committee due to work commitments. We thank Steve for his contribution and efforts whilst he’s been with us and hope he will still keep in touch. We are now looking for a replacement to join the Committee. Can you spare time to attend a meeting once a month? Are you able to bring some fundraising ideas to the group, please get in touch! 50/50 Halftime Draw We are looking for more half time 50/50 draw sellers for the coming season. If you can offer some help – no matter how small – please get in touch with us. It would involve selling tickets for approximately an hour before kick-off. It doesn’t have to be every match, even if you can only help once a month, or only on weekend games, do please let us know. Unless we get more sellers, we will have less for any projects we support and the prize money will drop!!

Members Draw – We have decided to continue with our monthly members draw for next season. The prize for the first draw will be a programme for every home match of next season – this is a prize worth over £70! Other prizes will be coach travel for two with SAS Travel to an away game of your choice and £25 vouchers for the Club Shop.

AGM -The date for our AGM is Saturday 26th November 2016, starting at 11.00am in the Legends Lounge. Pounds for Points I have taken over from Mavis Knight running “Pounds for Points”. Mavis has done an excellent job over the past years raising in excess of £50,000 for the Academy, so I will have my work cut out to follow her great effort. If you are not already involved can I please ask for your support. Starting at 50p per point you can sign up to help raise funds for our Academy boys. You can make it £1 per point or more if you wish. I will invoice you monthly, so no big bills! Every penny raised will go to the Academy. Please ask by email or any committee member for a form to sign up. You can also see further details on our website www.swindontownsupportersclub.com. Together, let us see how much we can raise for our young players of the future. Ann Alder
